Myofascial Dry Needling
Dry Needling
Service Description
Dry Needling is a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. Usually, the goal of Dry Needling is to decrease pain, increase range of motion, and decrease muscle spasms. Most Needles remain in place for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Most patients will have mild soreness following Needling for 24-48 hours. Although Sterile Technique is used, there is a risk for infection any time the skin is penetrated. Dry Needling may be added in during Chiropractic Manipulative services for a reduced price ($10) as long as no more than 1 treatment region is needed.
